Canada Day

Having no plans whatsoever for the day, I was doomed to the insides of my house and a remote control. As the sun shined against the clear blue skies, I shlumped on my couch and turned to Canada’s next top model. Yes, Canada’s next top model. Frantically looking for something to do, I messaged my contact list to see what tha peeps were doing. After a few failures, I managed to get Horhor out of the house. We were going to hit up the beach! Nothing like a hot summer day at the beach ~ To my surprise, mom came home early from a wedding and so I thought…I should probably spend some time with her. I messaged Horhor to cancel our plans, but he calls and said he was already on the skytrain. dun dun dun. I felt so bad, though he still ended up going to the beach to get some tan on.

Anyway, here begins my trip with ma.

Burnaby Village Museum

here we got to meet the RCMPs

muse at the old artifacts

and watch the FLIK FLAK circus from Denmark. that kid was gooood

and ofcourse, we had a piece of that ginormous cake they make every year!

Capilano Suspension Bridge

Stanley Park - Seawall

and we had time leftover to bike around the entire park!

It was definitely an exhausting day, driving around to all those places, but I’m glad I got to spend some quality time with mom before she leaves. Though we’ve lived under the same roof for so long, I’ve realized how rare it has become for us to spend a whole day together. It was good reminiscing the past as we walked around the Village Museum, it was where we use to spend our July 1st’s when I was still a kid. It’s funny how different things look, now that I’ve grown older, I never remembered the buildings so small! But I still enjoyed my time there with mom, and it was definitely worth blogging about.
